I'm looking for a cookie recipe that my Grandma used to make. She's from Mexico, so i'm prettty sure it's a Mexican or Spanish recipe. They were rolled in cinnamon and sugar, and the cookie was shortbread like, not as sweet as most cookies. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

I think you may be talking about the Mexican recipe "Polvorones de Canele" also known as Mexican Cinnamon Cookies, they are a cookie rolled in cinnamon and sugar as you said. Here is the recipe:
Mexican Cinnamon Cookies (Polvorones)
5 cups flour 7/8 cups sugar 1 tsp baking powder 1 3/4 cup shortening 2 cinnamon sticks 1 1/2 tsp anise seed 3/4 cup sugar 1 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder and shortening. Boil the 2 cups water with cinnamon sticks and anise. Strain and use water in the flour mixture. Use just enough of the flavored water to moisten and form a ball of dough. Form the dough into balls about 1 1/2 inch in diameter. Place on cookie sheets. Bake in pre-heated 325 degree F oven. Bake until cookies are slightly browned. Mix together the 3/4 cup sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Roll the still warm cookies in sugar mixture and let cool.
