| Oatmeal Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookies 1 cup Shortening 1 cup Granulated sugar 1 cup Firmly packed brown sugar 2 Eggs 1 tsp Vanilla 2 cups flour (sifted) 1 tsp Baking soda 1 tsp Cinnamon 1/4 tsp Salt 2 cups Quick-cooking oats 6 ounces Semisweet chocolate morsels 1 cup Chopped pecans Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream shortening and sugars together until light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, beat well. Sift flour, soda, cinnamon, and salt together and blend into creamed mixture. Stir in oats, chocolate morsels and chopped pecans. Drop dough by level tablespoonfuls, about two inches apart onto greased baking sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool completely on wire racks. |
