Yogurt Chocolate Chip Cookies 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour 1 1/2 tsp Baking powder 1/2 tsp Salt 1 cup Shortening 1 cup Brown sugar (lightly packed) 1/2 cup Granulated sugar 1 Egg 1/2 cup Plain yogurt 1/4 cup Honey 2 tsp Vanilla 2 cups Chocolate chips 1 cups Nuts (chopped) -optional Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease cookie sheet with shortening. Combine the flour, baking powder and salt. Cream together shortening, sugars, egg, yogurt, honey and vanilla in large bowl on medium speed until smooth. Add in flour mixture on low speed, again mixing until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop dough by tablespoonfuls onto prepared cookie sheets. Bake at 375 degrees F for 9 to 11 minutes until very lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes, then remove cookies to wire racks to cool completely.
