Butterscotch Squares

1/2 cup margarine
Non-nutritive sweetener equivalent to about 2 cups of brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup walnuts (finely chopped)
2 eggs (medium sized)
1 1/2 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook margarine and sweetener together until smooth. Cool mixture to lukewarm, add in the eggs, mixing well. Add flour, vanilla, baking powder and nuts. Spread in 9 x 12″ pan (should be lightly oiled). Bake 28-30 minutes. Cut into squares about 1 1/4″ x 1 1/4″. Sprinkle with granulated sugar equivalent and let cool. Makes about 60-70.
