Candy Cookie Gift Mix

1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cup flour

Combine ingredients in a bowl and whisk by hand until well combined. Make sure no lumps remain, the mixture should be powdery and not lumpy. Add to a jar or other container with an airtight lid or top.

Candy Cookies Recipe

1 cups Softened butter (unsalted)
1 lg egg
1 jar of Candy Cookie Mix
1 cups of candy bar or chocolate chunks (snickers, mars, peanut butter cups, butterfinger bars, etc.)

Pre-heat oven to 350F degrees. In a mixing bowl, beat softened butter till creamy and smooth. Add in the egg, and continue mixing well. Add entire jar of Candy Cookie Mix, as well as the candy chunks. Blend on a low speed until combined, but do not overmix. Form dough into 1 1/2″ balls and place 2″ apart onto un-greased baking sheets. Bake 10-12 min., til light golden brown on edges. Remove cookies from oven and remove from baking sheet after a couple minutes to cool completely on wire racks. Yield 3 dozen cookies.

Gingerbread Cookies Gift Mix Recipe

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoons ground allspice
2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoons ground cloves
1 cups packed brown sugar

Mix the 2 cups of flour with baking powder and baking soda. Mix the remaining flour (1 1/2 cups) with the ground spices, including cinnamon, allspice, ginger and cloves. In a 1 quart canning jar, layer ingredients, starting with flour at bottom and then baking powder. Then add sugar. Lastly, add the flour and spice mixture. Make sure to press firmly between each layer.

Gingerbread Cookies Recipe

1. Place contents of jar into mixing bowl, stirring all ingredients well. Mix in a 1/2 cup of butter, 3/4 cups of molasses and 1 egg. Dough should be quite stiff. Cover dough and chill for at least 1 hour.
2. Pre-heat oven to 350F degrees.
3. Roll out dough to a quarter inch thickness onto a lightly-floured surface. Slice into shapes with your favorite cookie cutters, preferrably gingerbread man shapes. Place the cookies onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Place cookies 2″ apart.
4. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool, then decorate. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen cookies.

Oatmeal Cinnamon Cookies in a Jar Mix

3 cups rolled oats
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

In a 1 quart jar, layer the ingredients in the following order: half of the oats, half of the brown sugar, flour. Mix together the sugar, baking soda and cinnamon, put on top of flour, then remaining brown sugar and remaining oats.

Screw on the lid and attach a tag with the following instructions:

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease cookie sheets. In a large bowl, beat 1 1/4 cups of butter with 1 egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla until fluffy. Stir in the contents of the jar. Drop cookies by rounded tablespoons 2 inches apart onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes in the preheated oven. Cool on cookie sheets for 1 minute before removing to wire racks to cool completely.
