Kodiak Cakes Cookie Mix Review

Recently we were sent some samples of several Kodiak Cakes products to try and review. I’m pleased to say that we tried the pancakes as well as the Oatmeal Dark Chocolate cookie mix and both were excellent. If you’re looking for a very easy to make cookie mix, this is the one. They make several types of cookie mixes, including the Oatmeal Dark Chocolate and a brownie mix.

The instructions were a snap. Just mix a stick of butter and 1 egg into the mix until it forms a dough. Then shape into golf balls and put on a cookie sheet. Bakes at 350F for 8-10 minutes. Serve with a glass of ice cold milk and you are in cookie heaven. The dough was tasty, just sweet enough for my taste yet it had a nice oaty flavor. Also, the chocolate chips were obviously of good quality, they make a rich and gooey addition to the cookies. Yummy!

The thing I’m most impressed with is that the ingredients are top notch. No hydrogenated oils, no high fructose corn syrup, no preservatives or additives or artificial anything. You get whole grain flours, brown sugar, chocolate chips, vanilla and leavening. That’s it! I detest the ready made doughs and cookie mixes you get at the store, they always have crap ingredients in them so they can stay on the shelves as long as possible. If you’re looking for ease of use and you care about the quality of the ingredients that are in the cookies, I would not hesitate to recommend the Kodiak Cakes brand of cookie mixes.
