2 c. flour
1 c. butter or margarine (room temperature)
1/3 c. heavy whipping cream
Sugar
Creamy Filling (recipe follows)
Creamy Filling Ingredients:
3/4 c. confectioners sugar
1/4 c. butter (room temperature)
1 tsp vanilla flavoring
Food Color (optional)
Combine first three ingredients together with spoon. Cover and chill for 1 hour or until firm. Heat oven to 375 degrees. Divide dough into thirds. On floured surface, roll dough into 1/8 thickness (keeping remaining dough chilled until ready to use). Cut into 1 1/2 inch rounds. Cover large piece of wax paper generously with sugar. Using spatula, transfer rounds to wax paper and coat both sides of cookie. Place on ungreased baking sheet. Using fork, pierce each round 4 or 5 times. Bake 8 minutes or just until set by not browned. Remove to wire rack. Cool completely. Prepare frosting. Spread 1/2 teaspoon between bottoms of wafers.
Creamy Filling Directions:
Combine all ingredients until smooth. If needed, add a few drops of water.
