Gingerbread Cookies Recipe
1. Place contents of jar into mixing bowl, stirring all ingredients well. Mix in a 1/2 cup of butter, 3/4 cups of molasses and 1 egg. Dough should be quite stiff. Cover dough and chill for at least 1 hour.
2. Pre-heat oven to 350F degrees.
3. Roll out dough to a quarter inch thickness onto a lightly-floured surface. Slice into shapes with your favorite cookie cutters, preferrably gingerbread man shapes. Place the cookies onto a lightly greased baking sheet. Place cookies 2″ apart.
4. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool, then decorate. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen cookies.
