No Bake Caramel Cookies

2 cups Sugar
3/4 cups Butter or margarine (softened)
1 can Evaporated milk (6 ounces)
1 package Instant butterscotch pudding mix
3 1/2 cups Quick cooking oats

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, butter and milk. Bring to a boil, adding oats and pudding. Remove pan from heat, continuing to stir thoroughly. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Let cool before eating.
